Materials that
think like
muscle.

Athletes perform best when they stop thinking and start playing. We build the gear that makes that possible — materials that read the body and respond automatically. Software running invisibly in the background. Nothing for the athlete to manage.

The intelligence is in the fiber. The software makes it smarter with every use.

When the gear adapts to you,
you stop managing your body
and start competing.
The technology

A material that stores energy
and releases it on cue.

During manufacturing
The fiber is stretched and locked during manufacturing — energy stored at the molecular level. The structure is set. The potential is loaded. Ready to respond when the body asks for it.
During use
Body heat or sweat triggers a release. The fiber contracts or adjusts — automatically, passively, with no battery or signal required. The body is the switch.
The result
Gear that adapts to what the athlete is doing in real time. Tighter when effort demands it. Easier during recovery. Always responding. Never interrupting.

What makes this different

Most smart materials need high heat, external power, or electronics. This system activates at body temperature — triggered by the exact signals the human body already produces. Biocompatible. Recyclable. Fully passive. Nothing to charge. Nothing to break.

Two names. One system.

RFW3
The engine — internal platform and architecture
The complete system for how we design, build, test, and protect every material we create. The rulebook. Everything is built on RFW3.
RC Series
The product grades — external performance classification
RC-1 through RC-4 describe what a finished material can do — from structural base materials to fully intelligent adaptive systems. RFW3 is the factory. The RC Series is what comes out of it.
The opportunity

One technology.
Three massive markets.

The same fiber that adapts to an athlete's sweat adapts to a wound, a soldier's core temperature, or an industrial worker's exertion. We begin with athletic performance. The platform licenses into everything else.

$680B
Performance wear by 2030
Elite athletes need gear that responds to them. Marginal gains in adaptive clothing translate into measurable competitive advantages. This is where we start.
$20B
Wound care by 2030
Adaptive dressings that respond to wound moisture can reduce infection and intervention costs. Same material science. Different application.
High
Value
Defense and first responder
Responsive textiles that adapt to a soldier's thermal and exertion state have direct survivability implications. Long-term procurement relationships.

No existing commercial product combines passive actuation, body-temperature activation, biocompatibility, and scalable manufacturing. That combination is what Raven Catalyst Group is building. The first company to deliver it owns the category.

The plan

Material. Software.
Continuous loop.

The science has been validated in a university setting. The work now is taking it from a carefully prepared lab sample to a material that can be manufactured at scale, worn by real athletes, and continuously refined. Software runs through every stage.

The software layer — end to end

We are not only developing a material. We are developing the software intelligence that understands it, deploys it, and improves it continuously. The goal is a closed loop where every athlete session makes the material smarter, and every material improvement makes the athlete data richer.

Testing
Captures material performance data across iterations, logs failure envelopes, and accelerates testing design. Every test result feeds the next formulation decision.
Manufacturing
Monitors manufacturing state, ensuring consistency across material batches. Variation becomes trackable, correctable, and improvable at scale.
Athlete use
Ingests signals from RC-grade materials in real time, surfaces insights without interrupting performance, and builds individual athlete profiles that improve with every session.
Refinement
Athlete data flows back into material development. Each cycle produces a better material and a smarter system. The loop closes. The moat compounds.

Four steps from lab to market

01
Prove the material scales
Validate that production-grade materials perform the same way as the original lab samples. Software tracks every variable and failure point — building a reproducible, data-backed pathway from lab to production.
02
Spin it into real fibers
Take the validated materials and process them into textile-grade fibers. Software monitors manufacturing parameters in real time, ensuring actuation properties are preserved and flagging inconsistency before it reaches prototype stage.
03
Deploy with real athletes
Put prototypes into training environments with elite athletes. The software layer collects performance signals, surfaces actionable insights, and begins building the athlete-specific data foundation that makes the ecosystem proprietary.
04
Refine continuously and license
Athlete data feeds material refinement. Material improvements feed athlete performance. With validated fibers, filed IP, and a live data ecosystem, RFW3 is licensed across apparel, medical, and defense. Use-cases are licensed. The platform stays with Raven Catalyst Group.

The team

The people who connect
every dot.

Every role here exists to close a specific gap between discovery and market. Together we own the full path from fiber to platform.

Co-founder — Business lead
Identifies where technology, human performance, and market opportunity connect. Drives commercial strategy, partnerships, and the vision that keeps the platform moving in the right direction.
Co-founder — CTO
Deep experience taking engineering designs from concept through commercialization. Knows what it takes to move from a validated design to a manufacturable, scalable product — and has done it.
Materials science consultant
Originated the academic research findings now being commercialized. The scientific foundation the platform is built on — and the technical authority behind every IP claim.
Manufacturing and testing lab
Specialized experience in fiber fabrication, materials characterization, and rigorous performance testing. Translates laboratory findings into reproducible, scalable results that hold up in the real world.

From fiber to material, from material to product, from product to platform — every transition is covered. That end-to-end ownership is the moat. It is how this innovation reaches market, and how it stays ahead once it does.

The founding mission

The moment
every athlete knows.
We build for that.

Everything disappears. The noise in your head, the doubt, the calculation. You stop thinking about what your body is doing and you just play. It does not happen every game. But when it does, you know it immediately — and you spend the rest of your career trying to get back there.

Most sports technology moves in the wrong direction. It gives athletes more to check, more to read, more to manage. A dashboard is not performance. Information that arrives after the fact does not change what happened in the third quarter. The tools that are supposed to help end up adding cognitive weight at exactly the moment athletes need to be light.

The body already knows what it needs. Our job is to make sure the gear knows too — and to get out of the way.

That is the insight behind Raven Catalyst Group. Not that athletes need more data — they need data that arrives without asking for it, processed by the material itself, invisible in use. When the gear responds to you automatically, you do not manage it. You trust it. And when you trust your gear, your mind goes somewhere better.

We started with that observation and worked backward — through years of watching how athletes actually move, recover, and perform — until we found the science that could deliver on it. The adaptive material system we are commercializing does not require a battery, a sensor, or an app. It reads the body through sweat and heat and responds on its own. The intelligence is in the fiber. That is the only place it belongs.

This company exists for the athlete who wants to stop thinking and start playing. Everything we build is in service of that moment.
